Video: Volunteering at Orphanages through LanguageCorps

I wanted to share an amazing video with you today.  It was originally sent to us by Michelle P in 2009, as part of our Southeast Asia Media Contest, but most of you probably have not seen it, and it really is a great piece.

All LanguageCorps teachers undergo practice teaching as part of the TESOL certification course, and many teachers, especially in Southeast Asia, choose to do their practice teaching at a variety of orphanages or children’s organizations that are always in need of volunteers.  For most, in addition to providing valuable practice and preparation for teaching English as a second language to a full classroom, practice teaching is an incredibly rich and fulfilling experience.

In her incredibly moving video, Michelle allows you to see some of these special moments first hand.  Enjoy!
