We are happy to announce that the LanguageCorps ‘Bitten by the Travel Bug’ Sweepstakes has come to a close, and a winner has been declared. We were overwhelmed with the amount of participation in the contest, and it was great to see so much interest in Teaching English Abroad.

Without further ado, the winner of the 2011 Get ‘Bitten By the Travel Bug’ sweepstakes is…Christopher Alexander Kulik! Congratulations, Christopher! We’re very happy for you and the prize couldn’t have gone to a more deserving candidate. Upon hearing of winning the sweepstakes, Christopher had this to say:

“I just got back from a language school in Costa Rica. Once I get the money I would like to go to the program in Vietnam. It is an important emerging market so they will need English teachers in the future. I first become interested in the Language Corps program because I wanted to travel but I needed a way to finance my stay in the country. I love to travel and I have been to Montréal, Québec City, Tijuana, and San José, Costa Rica. I also looked into Language Corps because I would love to volunteer. Not only is it good on a résumé but nothing can beat the satisfaction one gets by helping your fellow man.”

The contest began on July 14, 2011 and finished on September 2, 2011. The goal of the contest was to encourage participants to explore different cultures, and ultimately, to increase awareness of Teach English Abroad programs like LanguageCorps. The opportunity to teach English in Asia with a TEFL certification affords individuals the chance to learn and apply new skills, while challenging themselves to develop a wider global prospective.  We love helping people realize their dreams, and for us, that means helping them to teach English abroad.

The contest has inspired many to travel and teach English in China and other places around the world. If you have been bitten by the travel bug, and would like to experience other cultures beyond the confines of your native land,  then teaching English abroad might be the perfect way to finance your adventure! Contact us anytime, and we will be more than happy to help you through every step of the process.
