Flagship Program
The Flagship Program is available in Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam. It combines the same four-week TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) certification course included in the TESOL Certification Program with a comprehensive set of support services that are designed to help you have a secure and enjoyable overseas experience. (TESOL courses and TEFL courses are often used interchangeably. Completing either TEFL courses or TESOL courses essentially enables native English speakers to teach English in a variety of foreign countries.)
Flagship Programs include accommodations during the four-week TEFL / TESOL courses, guaranteed job placement in a paid teaching position, local language and cultural awareness training, pre-departure and visa support, comprehensive medical insurance, travel excursions to various country attractions, and a cell phone. You can be confident in your Flagship Program knowing support from your local Corps Advocate is available throughout your time abroad.
The four-week TESOL course is an intense, approximately 140-hour program that will prepare you to teach EFL (English as a Foreign Language). The TEFL / TESOL certificate courses incorporate effective EFL teaching principles and techniques. In addition, you will learn how to plan lessons, conduct effective classroom activities, and implement what you have learned in practice teaching sessions with local EFL students.
