Programs

LanguageCorps offers several different programs for adventurous people interested in living and working in a different culture. The programs offered vary by location, and an overview is given below. Please refer to the individual country pages for specific details on program(s) offered in that location.

These programs are a four-week, intensive TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) Certification course, conducted in many different countries. During the program, you will learn the skills and methodology needed to be comfortable and competent teaching EFL (English as a Foreign Language) abroad. You will also receive job search assistance, and, job placements have been very successful in all locations. Accommodations can be arranged in all locations for an additional cost.

The TESOL Plus Program, available in Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Ecuador and Mexico, includes the four-week TESOL Certification Program and job placement assistance mentioned above. It also includes accommodations during training and travel insurance, as well as other support services such as tours, visa support, and daily transportation to the training center. Please refer to the individual country pages for specific details on what is included.

For those interested in a more comprehensive program and a higher level of support, our Flagship Programs include the four-week TESOL Certification Program mentioned above, as well as additional support services designed to help you have a secure and enjoyable overseas experience. Flagship Programs include accommodations during training, guaranteed job placement in a paid teaching position, pre-departure and visa support, travel excursions to various country attractions, comprehensive medical insurance, cell phone, and support from our local Corps Advocate throughout your time abroad. Flagship Programs are offered in Cambodia, Thailand and Vietnam.

For those who are limited in the time they can spend overseas, we offer short-term (typically 8 weeks) Volunteer Programs in several locations (Cambodia, Thailand and Vietnam). Either an abbreviated TESOL course, or a full four-week TESOL Certification course is included in all Volunteer Programs, along with accommodations, excursions, medical insurance, cell phone, Corps Advocate support, and placement in an unpaid volunteer position.

For those interested in experiencing China or Taiwan, we have unique programs that include a four-week TESOL Certification program conducted in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, accommodations during training, excursions while in Cambodia, medical insurance, visa support, and guaranteed placement in a paid job in China or Taiwan.
