LanguageCorps Adds Taiwan to Locations Available for Teaching English Abroad
Stow, MA (MarketWire) May 4, 2010 – LanguageCorps, a leading TESOL and certification and placement program for teaching English abroad, has added Taiwan to their locations available for teaching English abroad.
LanguageCorps’ TeachTaiwan program provides a comprehensive blend of training and orientation, guaranteed job placement, and services to support participants while they teach English abroad in Taiwan, helping to ensure that they have a secure, rewarding adventure.
The TeachTaiwan Program begins with an intensive four-week TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) training program and Certification phase in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, and includes two exciting weekend excursions. During the training phase teachers have a chance to meet participants in the other Asian programs, extend their LanguageCorps network and make great contacts for future travel or vacations while they teach English in Taiwan. At the end of the four weeks teachers travel to their destination city to begin teaching English in Taiwan.
A teaching job at a LanguageCorps affiliated school is guaranteed in the TeachTaiwan program. Participants typically teach English to Taiwanese children, but they may also teach adults. No knowledge of the native language is required; however, teachers must possess native English language skills, a four-year college degree, satisfactory completion of the LanguageCorps TESOL Certification Program in Cambodia, and flexibility with job placement location in Taiwan.
“We are thrilled to add Taiwan to our long list of programs available for teaching English abroad,” said Mike Patton, LanguageCorps Advisor. “The TeachTaiwan program offers participants a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to travel and explore Taiwan, a safe, well developed country rich with Chinese cultural history.”
The largest island of the Republic of China (ROC) in East Asia, Taiwan enjoys warm weather year round, with the strongest fluctuations occurring during spring and winter. The official language of Taiwan is Mandarin Chinese and the most popular foreign language in Taiwan is English, which offers an abundance of openings to teach English in Taiwan.
Start dates for the TeachTaiwan program begin as soon as June 7, 2010. For additional information or to apply online, please visit www.LanguageCorps.com.
