Training & Certification Programs
LanguageCorps offers the following program in Argentina:
- TESOL Certification
The four-week training course includes 140 hours of classroom time and, and a minimum of 6 hours of observed Teaching Practice with local EFL students.
The Training Center is located in Puerto Madero, a waterfront district considered to be one of the most popular and fashionable areas of the city. Within walking distance are many restaurants and cafés, and there is excellent public transportation near the school: trains, subways, buses, and even ferries to neighboring Uruguay.
The TESOL Certification Program includes:
- TESOL Certification course
- Job placement assistance
- Optional two weeks of complimentary Spanish lessons before or after the TESOL course
The Buenos Aires TESOL Certification Program Fee is US$1,995. Accommodations during the four week program are available with host families near the Training Center for an additional cost of US$740 (which includes two meals per day), or in shared apartments for US$580 - $660. Airport pick-up can be arranged for $50.
If you are interested in brushing up on your Spanish and learning more about your new location, you have the option of two complimentary weeks of intensive group Spanish classes plus cultural excursions. These take place in the two weeks prior to your 4-week TESOL Certification Program start date. There is no cost other than housing and $50 for a book that is required.
The following are not included:
- Round-trip airfare to host country
- Personal expenses (meals, entertainment, local transport, living expenses, and personal shopping)
- "Upfront" costs following the training period, such as apartment security deposits and first month's rent
- Visa costs and fees
