"I wanted to let you know that my teaching experience and TESOL certificate helped me get work in NYC! I just got a position as an Assistant Editor at a major educational publisher in their Reading textbooks department. The editor who interviewed me loved the fact that I had both teaching experience and the TESOL because it will be especially helpful when editing the Teacher's Editions (also, their textbooks are expanding their ESL sections). This extra experience allowed me to start out in a higher position than I would ordinarily have been able to with no prior experience in publishing. So thanks LanguageCorps!

"The course was great! It was definitely a worthwhile (although rigorous) experience. The training center here could not have been a better base for me to commence this entire experience. I was able to take Italian lessons there, use their internet as I have needed, and make friends with many people local to the area that have made me feel very welcome and comfortable. The Italian lady that the school set me up with is absolutely lovely, and I have continued to live with her since the course, as she is a wonderful conversation partner and a great cook (providing mini lessons with every meal) - really like a mother to me here :) All in all I cannot say enough good things about the school here, their teachers, and the school's owner. It has been a wonderful experience and I am so happy that I chose the TESOL course and Alghero to start it off - the English school has been my base and directed all of my relationships and adventures since! I did get to travel more of Sardinia with my mom when she came to visit, and it's absolutely beautiful! Alghero and the entire island, really - it's a place I would never have thought to come to, but is absolutely unique from the rest of Italy with a really interesting history and culture, and breathtaking scenery. Thank you for everything."

"Things are going well here in Barcelona- I’m working at a language academy and teaching English to children, and also teaching some private classes on the side. Really enjoying this city, and starting to learn Catalan as well! I LOVED the TESOL course- the teaching preparation was amazing, and we had an awesome group of people in the class as well. I felt like I was truly prepared to teach, and had a solid foundation to work with. So, all in all, I would say things have turned out very, very well.
